Rana Daggubati, widely known for his role as Bhallaladeva in Baahubali, recently made history by becoming the first Indian celebrity to attend WWE’s grand event, WrestleMania 41, held in Las Vegas. The actor, who is a self-proclaimed lifelong WWE fan, was seen enjoying the show from the front row. His presence created a buzz among both Indian and international wrestling fans.
At the event, Rana received a special shoutout in the arena, and millions of viewers watching globally saw him on-screen. The actor was also spotted promoting Season 2 of his popular Netflix series Rana Naidu. Netflix India even posted pictures and a video from the event showing Rana being introduced to the WrestleMania crowd. The caption of the post read, “Heels. Faces. Familiar faces @ranadaggubati is at WrestleMania. Jo line cross kiya woh gaya.”
Rana described his experience at WrestleMania as “surreal.” He said, “WWE has been a part of all our childhoods. Now, to witness it live and represent India on a global stage, especially with both WWE and Rana Naidu streaming on Netflix, feels like a full-circle moment.”
The excitement didn’t just end with WrestleMania. Rana also has a lineup of interesting projects coming up. He will be returning as the lead in Season 2 of Rana Naidu. Apart from that, he is working on the Telugu film Rakshasa Raja, directed by Teja, and Kaantha, a multilingual film featuring Dulquer Salmaan.
