Chiyaan Vikram starrer film Veera Dheera Sooran to soon release on OTT

Chiyaan Vikram's Veera Dheera Sooran, after a great theatrical run, is all set for its OTT release. The action thriller hit the theatres on March 27 and is set to begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video on April 24, which is in less than a month from release.

Fans are thrilled, but the swift OTT release has raised eyebrows. Star heroes of big-ticket movies require a longer wait period to manifest themselves online. But for Tamil films, a four-week gap between theatrical and streaming releases is not unusual.

Veera Dheera Sooran is all about Kaali, a reformed criminal who owns a small grocery store in Madurai. His quiet, simple life gets rattled when a clash between a cop SP Arunagiri and Kaali’s old gang boss brings him back to the dark world he had left behind. Kaali is then compelled to chase the officer and thus begins a crazy and eventful night.

Written and directed by SU Arun Kumar, the movie features Chiyaan Vikram as Kaali, SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dushara Vijayan, and Prudhvi Raj as prominent characters.

The film has received rave reviews for its raw action, taut screenplay and Vikram’s explosive acting. The music for the film was composed by GV Prakash Kumar, and the cinematography was handled by Theni Eswar.

While the film didn’t make much of a mark at the box office, it did receive mixed-to-positive reviews from audiences, many of whom said it delivered intense storytelling and strong performances. Those who missed it in theatres can see it on Prime Video beginning April 24.
