In a dramatic turn of events, the release of the much-awaited Tamil action thriller Veera Dheera Sooran, starring Chiyaan Vikram, was halted just hours before its scheduled debut due to a legal dispute. The Delhi High Court issued an interim stay on the film’s release following a financial disagreement between the film’s producers and B4U, a company that claimed OTT rights over the film.
The movie, directed by Chithha filmmaker SU Arun Kumar, was uniquely planned as a two-part series, with the second part releasing first.
Anticipation had been building steadily among fans, especially with the buzz surrounding Vikram’s intense performance. However, early morning and noon shows across multiple locations were abruptly canceled, leading to confusion and disappointment among audiences.

However, the company alleged that the producer proceeded with the release without finalizing the OTT agreement. This prompted B4U to file a petition, resulting in the court ordering the film’s makers to pay Rs 7 crore within 48 hours.

The court’s decision prompted immediate action. After a round of intense negotiations, both parties reached a resolution. The payment order was issued, and efforts were made to ensure the film could still see a timely theatrical release. Reportedly, Vikram, SJ Suryah, and director SU Arun Kumar stepped in to support the producer financially.
“Chiyaan Vikram, SJ Suryah, and director SU Arun Kumar have reportedly come forward to pave the way for the film’s theatrical release by funding the producer,” the report added.
With legal issues now resolved, Veera Dheera Sooran is expected to hit theaters from noon onwards. Fans, who had been eagerly awaiting the release, may finally get their chance to watch the film on the big screen. Given Vikram’s impressive
