Actor Rahul Bhat has started the festive season of Holi on a busy note, diving straight into work as he begins shooting for his next project. The actor also revealed a striking new look from the set, sparking excitement among fans and followers on social media.
Coming off an exceptionally strong year, Rahul Bhat has been riding a wave of critical acclaim. His performance as Inspector Tomar in the acclaimed series Black Warrant turned out to be one of the most talked-about performances of the year, earning him recognition across several award platforms. The intense portrayal further cemented his reputation as a performer known for depth, restraint, and authenticity.
Before Black Warrant, Bhat had already made a powerful mark with Anurag Kashyap’s Kennedy. The film received global attention across film festivals and was widely praised for its bold storytelling and Bhat’s commanding screen presence. With these back-to-back successes, the actor has firmly positioned himself as one of the most compelling talents navigating both international streaming platforms and auteur-driven cinema.
Despite the festive spirit surrounding Holi, Bhat revealed that he was spending the day filming. Sharing a reflective note on social media, the actor wrote, “While the world celebrates #holi in colors, some corners of the world are still stained in blood. Filming today. The irony isn’t lost on me.” The post quickly drew attention for its contemplative tone and offered a glimpse into the intense atmosphere surrounding the project he is currently working on.
Rahul Bhat’s upcoming slate reflects a diverse and ambitious lineup. He will soon be seen in an untitled romantic drama shot in the scenic town of Nainital opposite Dia Mirza. The film is directed by Kanwal Sethi and is expected to explore a deeply emotional narrative.
He is also part of filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming project The Wives, where he shares screen space with actor Mouni Roy. In addition, Bhat has ventured into international territory with the Hollywood production Lost & Found in Kumbh, directed by Mayur Puri and produced by Cristy Coor Beasley and Rashana Shah. The film was shot during the grand Maha Kumbh.
Another notable project on his horizon is Summer of 76, directed by Sudhir Mishra, in which Bhat portrays Sanjay Gandhi. Alongside these films, he is also currently shooting for a new project with Netflix.
With such a packed lineup spanning streaming, international cinema, and auteur storytelling, 2026 is shaping up to be one of Rahul Bhat’s most defining years yet.
