Pushpa 2 box office collection Day 1: Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna starrer collects Rs 175 cr nett beats RRR

Pushpa 2 dethrones RRR and becomes the biggest Indian film to open at the box office.

Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna returned to the big screens with Pushpa 2: The Rule. The movie, which released on Thursday (December 5), opened to packed houses across India.

On Day 1 of its release, Pushpa 2 broke many records and became India's biggest opener at the box office.

The film managed to outshine SS Rajamouli's epic RRR and became the new King of Box Office. Pushpa 2 collected a whopping Rs 175 crore at the box office on Thursday. It beat RRR by a good margin according to Sacknilk.com.

As per Sacnilk.com, at 11 pm on Thursday, Pushpa 2 had collected about Rs 160 crore India net on its first day in all languages. And this was the collection on a weekday. Ram Charan and Jr NTR's RRR had collected Rs 133 crore on Day 1.

The movie is going to gross within a range of Rs 85 + crore in Telugu states and it also includes the paid previews on December 4.

In neighbouring Karnataka, Pushpa 2 is expected to gross in the range of Rs 15 crores and between Rs 9-10 crores gross in Tamil Nadu, Rs 6-7 crores gross in Kerala.

So overall, the gross collection of the movie is estimated to have collected Rs 195+ crores (RS 160+ crores net).

The fans are going ga ga over the movie especially Allu Arjun's performance. The movie has also received a positive word of mouth and it is an out and out masala entertainer.

Looks like Pushpa 2 will have a good weekend as well.
