Nicolas Cage is all set to make his OTT debut with the highly anticipated Spider-Noir. The makers have unveiled the first look teaser and the release date of the series.

Nicolas Cage will play the lead character in Spider-Noir, a spinoff from the Spider-Verse movies. Sony has now made the beloved and perverted character available on streaming services for its own series.

Sharing the teaser for Spider-Noir, the official social media handle of Prime Video penned in the caption, “With no power comes no responsibility. “Spider-Noir” - a live-action series starring Nicolas Cage - arrives in True-Hue Full Color and Authentic Black & White May 27 on Prime.”

In Spider-Noir, Cage plays Ben Reilly, a struggling private detective in 1930s New York City, much like in Into the Spider-Verse. In addition to being the only superhero in New York, he must face his history after a personal tragedy.

The much-awaited series, which is produced by Sony Pictures Television exclusively for MGM+ and Prime Video, will make its domestic premiere on MGM+'s linear broadcast channel on May 25.

The Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir served as the inspiration for the live-action television series Spider-Noir. In Spider-Noir, Ben Reilly (Nicolas Cage) is a seasoned, struggling private detective in 1930s New York who must deal with his past existence as the city's sole superhero after a very personal tragedy.

The upcoming animated series features an ensemble cast including Academy Award-winning actor Nicolas Cage, Emmy Award-winning actor Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, with SAG Award-winning actor Jack Huston, and Emmy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated actor Brendan Gleeson.

The series also includes guest star cast, including Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson, and Kai Caster.

Uziel and Lightfoot collaborated on the series with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, the Academy Award-winning team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Aditya Sood, Dan Shear, and Lord Miller are the executive producers for their shingle company. Through Pascal Pictures, Amy Pascal also acts as an executive producer.
