Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf’s romantic coming-of-age series is officially returning for a fourth and final season, and Netflix has now made the long-awaited announcement.

Since its first season, the show has struck a chord with young viewers, many of whom have grown up alongside Dimple and Rishi and seen parts of their own stories reflected in the couple’s journey.

The third season, which premiered in December 2024, left audiences with more questions than answers. Dimple and Rishi had gone their separate ways, but their story never felt fully complete.

The final season promises to explore exactly that emotional gap — what happens when two people who believe they’ve closed a chapter are unexpectedly pulled back into each other’s lives.

With Rishi now firmly set on a path that offers no easy return, the show will finally ask the question fans have debated for years: were they truly mismatched, or was timing always their biggest obstacle?

Speaking about the final chapter, the team behind Mismatched shared, “Mismatched has always been about timing as much as love. Season 4 explores what happens when two people who thought they’d said their final goodbye are pulled back into each other’s orbit. Dimple and Rishi have grown, changed, and chosen different paths, but picture abhi baaki hain mere dost! We’re excited for audiences to get a first glimpse of this new chapter through Next on Netflix."

Adding to the emotional buzz, filming for season four is already underway. Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf were recently spotted shooting at Mumbai’s Marine Drive, instantly sending fans into a frenzy. Videos and photographs from the sets began circulating online, showing the two actors seated together as cameras rolled and curious onlookers gathered nearby.

A small but telling detail — balloons shaped like the number four floating in the background — quietly confirmed that the final season was officially in motion.

Returning under the direction of Divyang Thakkar and created by Gazal Dhaliwal, Mismatched continues to be produced by Ronnie Screwvala.

Along with Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf, the familiar ensemble cast, including Vidya Malvade, Rannvijay Singha, Ahsaas Channa, Taaruk Raina, Muskkaan Jaferi and Abhinav Sharma, will once again bring warmth and relatability to the story.
