Ravi Teja’s film Mass Jathara is all set to make its OTT debut following its theatrical release. The action drama will be available to stream online later this month.

Directed by Bhanu Bogavarapu, Mass Jathara will start streaming on Netflix from November 28. The platform confirmed the news by sharing the film’s official poster along with the release date.

The movie will be available in five languages — Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Sharing a powerful still of Ravi Teja from the film, Netflix India posted on Instagram, “Our Mass Maharaja is here to bring the jathara home! Watch Mass Jathara on Netflix out, 28 November in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.”

Mass Jathara hit theatres at the end of October with strong pre-release buzz. However, the film opened to mixed reviews and reportedly collected around Rs 18.63 crore in the domestic market, as per an industry trade tracking website.

The story follows Lakshman Bheri, played by Ravi Teja, a fearless and hot-headed railway sub-inspector. After being transferred to Adavivaram — an area troubled by rampant ‘ganja’ smuggling — Lakshman finds himself up against a powerful criminal network headed by KG Reddy (Naveen Chandra).

When Lakshman seizes a major consignment, the conflict between him and the gang quickly escalates into a full-blown action showdown. Amid all the chaos, Lakshman also develops feelings for Tulasi, a college student played by Sreeleela, adding a romantic angle to the plot.

A part of Moneycontrol’s review summed up the film by saying, “Sadly, the story itself is a well-known one: a cop vs. a drug lord plot that has been used many times before. The writing doesn't have much depth or surprise. In the second half, the movie tends to drag because it only has one story thread and doesn't change much or build up emotional tension. The songs don't stick in your mind, and the climax doesn't live up to the buildup.”

The film also features Sreeleela, Rajendra Prasad and Naveen Chandra in key roles.
