Making a shocking revelation, Neena recalled, “You can’t imagine, I have been abused on set. I have been given Ma-Behen ki gaali without my fault. The director used those words. Situation mein phasi nahi thi, paise chahiye the na. Kuch aur milta toh yeh nahi karti (I wasn’t such in that situation, I needed money. If I had the choice, I would have never done that).”

During the interview, Neena shared that now that she is getting better roles, being selfish is her mantra. She added, “Recently, when someone asked, why don’t you direct? Abhi acting ki dukaan acchi chal rahi hai toh kyun jau kahin aur? Do naau pe nahi baithna chahiye. (Finally, my acting career is going smoothly, why would I want to go elsewhere?)” The veteran actress said that the roles that come to her are deeply rooted and message-oriented, which she feels is a good phase to be in.
