Badshah flaunts ultra-rare USD 2 million Rolex ‘Barbie’ Daytona, becomes first Indian owner

Badshah stunned fans by flaunting an ultra-rare Rolex Daytona “Barbie” watch, estimated to be worth around USD 2 million, making him the first Indian to own the off-catalogue timepiece. Limited to fewer than 10 units worldwide, the pink sapphire-studded watch cements the rapper’s status as a major force in both music and ultra-luxury collecting.

Rapper Badshah recently executed one of India's most audacious timepiece flexes. In a recent Instagram video from the set of an Indian reality show he is judging, the multi-platinum rapper, businessman, and reality show judge casually revealed an extremely rare Rolex Daytona "Barbie" watch, which is estimated to be worth approximately USD $2 million.

Badshah, a passionate watch aficionado with a taste for extremely rare timepieces, is the first Indian to possess the incredibly rare off-catalogue wristwatch.

The eye-catching pink dial, baguette-cut hot pink sapphire bezel, matching pink sapphire hour markers, and diamond-set lugs are all characteristics of this 18k yellow gold watch. The watch, which collectors frequently refer to as the "Barbie" (an unofficial moniker), is thought to be restricted to fewer than ten units worldwide.

The watch is not available online, in stores, or in Rolex catalogues. The "Barbie" Daytona is part of Rolex's most exclusive line of off-catalogue designs, which are exclusively distributed through covert routes to the company's most prestigious VIP customers. Although the official retail price is yet unknown, reliable industry estimates put its worth at about USD $2 million, provided one is even "worthy of the call" from Rolex.

Sharing the picture, Badshah penned in the caption, “Koi bar ni kamaai pe, Barbie kalaai pe, bar dete tod, launde aa jaate jo aayi pe” that loosely translates to “No limits on paychecks, Barbie on the wrist, breaking barriers, the men show up when it’s time.”

As Badshah prepares to reach yet another milestone—becoming the first Indian rapper to perform at London's O2 Arena in the summer of 2026—this most recent flex solidifies his position as a major force in both music and the world of ultra-luxury collecting.

A few international celebrities, including Lionel Messi, Drake, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Mark Wahlberg, Mirka Federer, Caroline Wozniacki, and Mirka Federer, who are all well-known for their expensive watch collections, have also been seen sporting the Rolex Daytona "Barbie."

The Rolex Daytona, which was first introduced in 1963 for the motor racing industry, has developed into the brand's most sought-after chronograph. Off-catalogue Daytonas are the ultimate in Rolex collecting, even if normal Daytonas are already extremely valuable.

With their colourful sapphires, gem-set casings, uncommon dials, and bold aesthetics, these pieces push the limits of design. Famous examples are the "Eye of the Tiger" worn by LeBron James and DJ Khaled, and the "Rainbow" Daytona worn by David Beckham and Post Malone.
