Mrunal Thakur mocks Bipasha Basu in viral video

Mrunal Thakur has recently sparked controversy after an old video of her talking about Bipasha Basu resurfaced on social media. Mrunal has received backlash over the viral clip as she allegedly body-shamed Bipasha in the video.

Mrunal said, “I am better than Bipasha.” The actress is believed to be body-shaming Bipasha Basu for her appearance. She referred to Bipasha as "manly".

The video is from her initial television days when she starred in the Zee TV show, Kumkum Bhagya. Mrunal is seen arguing with her co-star Arjit Taneja, who portrayed her love interest Purab.

However, Mrunal is yet to respond to the viral video.

Meanwhile, Bipasha Basu has recently called out body-shaming trolls amid post-partum weight gain. She pointed out the unfair expectations and pressures women face after childbirth.

Bipasha expressed her hope that humanity would not remain shallow and low forever, and that people would encourage and applaud women for the countless roles they play each day.

She stated that she is a super-confident woman with a loving, evolved partner and family, adding that memes and trolls have never defined her or shaped who she is.

However, she remarked that such behaviour reflects a deeply disturbing societal attitude toward women, noting that another woman in her place could be deeply affected and scarred by such viciousness.

On the work front, Mrunal was recently seen in the recently released Son of Sardaar 2, which also stars Ajay Devgn, Ravi Kishan and Kubbra Sait among others in the key roles.

Mrunal is known for starring in movies across Hindi, Telugu and Marathi languages. She hit stardom after her Telugu film Sita Ramam became a blockbuster success at the box office. The film also stars Dulquer Salmaan.
