Dev Patel’s directorial debut received widespread international acclaim for its compelling narrative, sociopolitical insights, and riveting action sequences. Adding to the excitement, the digital release will feature alternate opening and closing scenes, along with deleted and extended footage, providing a richer viewing experience.

The film’s commercial success speaks volumes, grossing $34.5 million globally against a modest production budget of $10 million. This impressive box office performance underscores its widespread popularity and financial triumph.

Recently, "Monkey Man" also faced resistance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) from being released in the Indian subcontinent.
