Boney Kapoor, whose latest production, "Maidaan," starring Ajay Devgn, is set for release soon, said he will never let any biopic be made on his late wife and actress Sridevi.

In a conversation with DNA, Boney Kapoor, whose daughters Jahnvi and Khushi are also actors, said his late wife and seasoned actress was a very private person and "her life should remain private."

He said, and we quote, "I don't think there ever will be (a Sridevi biopic); till the time I live, I will not allow this to happen."

His next production venture, 'Maidaan', is a sports biopic based on the life of legendary football coach Syed Abdul Rahim's conviction.

Before tying the knot with Sridevi in 1996, Boney Kapoor was married to Mona Shourie Kapoor. The couple had two children, Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor.

Boney Kapoor and Sridevi had two daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, both of whom are actors now.

Sridevi was found lying unconscious in a bathtub in Dubai in 2018. It was a case of accidental drowning. Sridevi returned to acting with the hit comedy-drama "English Vinglish" in 2017 and was last seen on screen in "Mom" in 2017 before her untimely death in 2018. She was also awarded the National Award for Best Actress posthumously for her performance in "Mom.".

Boney Kapoor is also going to produce a sequel to the 2005 hit movie "No Entry." There were reports that brothers Boney and Anil Kapoor are not on speaking terms, as the latter is upset about not being in the sequel to "No Entry.".

But Boney Kapoor recently also said that the issue was being "blown out of proportion." Boney and Anil Kapoor have worked on projects like "Main Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja" and "Mr. India," to name a few.

Boney had clarified that not casting Anil Kapoor in the sequel to No Entry was solely the decision of director Anees Bazmee. He also told IBN's Showsa that the two are not upset: "We are brothers, and we love each other."
