Indian gaming influencer Payal Dhare, better known online as Payal Gaming, recently made headlines after her AI-generated intimate video titled ‘Payal Gaming Dubai MMS’ went viral on social media.

The explicit private video was extensively shared on social media, with many claiming it was her. In a statement, Payal clarified that deepfake technology was used to create the video and that she asked the Maharashtra Cyber Department for assistance.

Authorities located the maker of the fake video in January 2026, arrested him, and made his identity public.

Maharashtra Cyber officials swiftly prosecuted those who produced and disseminated a deepfake video purportedly connected to YouTuber Payal Gaming.

Pictures of them were posted on Maharashtra Cyber's official Instagram account after they were captured and given legal notices.

As the investigation continues to map the entire network, the authorities have located the original uploader who was responsible for the initial spread, and an arrest is anticipated soon. Under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the IT Act, a criminal FIR (No. 52/2025) was filed, focusing on identity fraud, online defamation, and the posting of sexually explicit content.

One of the defendants in the Payal Gaming MMS case publicly apologised for his part in defaming Payal Gaming after the police took action.

In a video, the accused, who created the viral mms, identified himself as Abhishek Jadhav. Abhishek's social media information and an apologetic statement for causing the viral buzz are included in the video that Maharashtra Cyber posted.

The primary uploader of the offensive material apologised to the social media influencer and the Maharashtra Cyber unit for disseminating fake images of Payal Gaming. He disclosed that his Instagram ID was "dobiga" and acknowledged using AI to produce a deepfake video in order to disparage the gaming YouTuber.

In an Instagram post on December 17, 2025, Payal broke her silence about the situation and made it quite evident that the person in the video is not her. She denounced such fake material, describing it as "dehumanizing" and "deeply hurtful." Payal further affirmed that she will take the necessary legal action to stop anybody from using technology to defame her.
