Kriti Sanon found herself at the centre of wedding folklore during her sister Nupur Sanon’s choora ceremony in Udaipur, and the internet is having a field day with it. New photos from Nupur’s wedding festivities with singer Stebin Ben are going viral, especially one moment that has fans reading signs and symbols a little too eagerly.

Nupur Sanon shared a series of pictures from her chooda ceremony on Instagram this Monday, capturing the warmth and colour of the pre-wedding ritual. In the first photo, a visibly delighted Kriti Sanon is seen as Nupur’s kaleera falls straight into her hand. Another picture shows Kriti smiling wide while holding the kaleera, clearly amused by the moment. The actress, known for her understated public appearances, looked relaxed and genuinely happy throughout the ceremony.

For the ceremony, Nupur opted for a turquoise blue traditional outfit, keeping the look elegant and festive. Kriti stood out in a bright pink kurta set, adding a pop of colour to the family pictures. One frame shows Kriti gently helping her sister with the choora, while another captures the Sanon sisters posing with their parents, radiating family warmth. Sharing the pictures, Nupur wrote, “Love, laughter, rituals & blessings #ChooraCeremony #StebiNupur.”

It didn’t take long for fans to connect dots. In North Indian traditions, if a kaleera falls on an unmarried woman during the ceremony, it is believed to be a sign that her wedding may be next. Social media users quickly jumped to conclusions. “This means Kriti’s getting married soon,” commented one fan, while others echoed similar excitement, turning a light-hearted ritual into a full-blown speculation fest.

Fuel was added to the chatter when Kabir Bahia, rumoured to be Kriti Sanon’s partner, shared his own photo carousel from the wedding celebrations. Captioned “Amazing Memories & People,” the post featured familiar faces from the industry. While the opening image showed Kabir posing with producer Dinesh Vijan and Stree 2 director Amar Kaushik, it was the third picture that grabbed attention. Kriti and Kabir were seen standing side by side, looking comfortable and coordinated. Kriti wore a bold teal-green gown, while Kabir opted for a crisp all-white look.

Kriti Sanon and Kabir Bahia have been linked for a while now, though neither has ever confirmed the relationship. Their occasional appearances together and social media moments continue to keep the rumours alive. For now, the kaleera moment remains just that, a moment, but fans are clearly enjoying the possibility it hints at.
