Popular K-drama actress Nam Bo Ra has shared joyful news with fans, announcing that she is expecting her first child just seven months after tying the knot. The actress confirmed her pregnancy in an interview with Xports News on December 11, revealing that the pregnancy was thoughtfully planned even before her wedding earlier this year.
Nam Bo Ra, who married a businessman of the same age in May, disclosed that she is currently in her 12th week of pregnancy.
Speaking candidly about the journey, she said, “I’m currently 12 weeks pregnant. Although my wedding was in May, I actually began preparing for pregnancy back in March. My goal was to welcome a new family member within this year, and I’m so grateful that the baby came to us so quickly.”
She also shared the news on Instagram with a cute photo dump, including pictures of a cute baby cake and her sonography scan.
According to the actress, her due date is set for mid-June next year. She shared that people around her have been offering positive reassurance about the timing. “It’s right in the middle of the year, so people keep telling me it’s a really good time to give birth,” she said, adding that she is feeling much better now after a challenging first trimester.
Nam Bo Ra did not shy away from discussing the physical changes she experienced in the early weeks of pregnancy. “During the early weeks, I was extremely sleepy so working was tough, but after passing 10 weeks, the fatigue went away and I’m getting my energy back,” she explained. The actress also spoke about dealing with morning sickness, saying, “My morning sickness was the worst around weeks 8–9, but it disappeared after week 10.”
Sharing a warm family moment, Nam Bo Ra spoke about her parents’ reactions to the news. While both were happy, her father had a surprisingly humorous response. “My mom and dad were both happy, but when I showed my dad the ultrasound image, he said he didn’t want to look. When I asked why, he said he’s seen too many ultrasounds already and doesn’t need to see more.”
