Korean star Jo Bo Ah announces pregnancy after a year of wedding with non-celebrity husband

Korean actress Jo Bo Ah is expecting her first child, according to her agency that confirmed her pregnancy.

According to reports, Jo Bo Ah is currently in her second trimester and her pregnancy is progressing smoothly. She is expected to give birth in late winter next year.

As reported by The Chosun, her agency announced the big news with an official statement on November 25.

A part of the statement read, “A precious new life has arrived for actress Jo Bo-ah,” sharing an official position. “We kindly ask for your understanding that we cannot disclose details such as the due date, and we request your affectionate support as we celebrate this joyous news.”

It further stated, “We deeply appreciate all who have consistently shown affection and love toward actress Jo Bo-ah. She plans to repay this support with excellent performances upon her return. We sincerely thank you for your warm congratulations and encouragement.”

Jo Bo Ah married a non-celebrity last October. At the time, her sudden marriage announcement, which came without any prior dating rumours, sparked speculation about a possible pregnancy.

However, her agency clarified that the couple had simply chosen an early wedding date due to their long relationship. They explained, “She has drama filming schedules lined up for the next year, so there will be no honeymoon. The couple simply set an early wedding date due to their long relationship.”

Jo Bo Ah made her acting debut in 2012 with the tvN drama Shut Up Flower Boy Band and has since appeared in popular series such as Temperature of Love, Goodbye to Goodbye, My Strange Hero, and Tale of the Nine Tailed.

She recently completed filming for the Disney Plus project Knock-Off, in which she stars alongside Kim Soo-hyun, and is currently awaiting its release.
