BTS member Jimin left fans stunned on Christmas Eve after abruptly deleting every post on his Instagram account, wiping out more than 100 photos in one sudden move. The unexpected action sparked immediate concern and confusion among ARMYs, many of whom had grown attached to the singer’s carefully curated feed filled with selfies, behind-the-scenes moments, and candid snapshots with fellow BTS members.
Jimin first launched his personal Instagram account in December 2021, alongside the rest of BTS, and quickly turned it into a visual diary of his life as a global superstar. Over time, the account amassed over 100 posts, making the complete reset all the more surprising. When fans checked his profile late on Christmas Eve, they were met with a blank page, no captions, no memories, no archive of his journey so far.

Speculation ran wild online, with fans questioning whether the move was linked to privacy concerns, hacking fears, or even a deeper personal reason. However, Jimin was quick to reassure fans and explain the situation himself. Taking to Weverse, the singer shared a heartfelt message that clarified the mystery behind the mass deletion.
“I finally opened Instagram. I changed the password 8 times. Anyway, I wanted to try starting fresh from the beginning, so I deleted everything, ARMY, are you having a good Christmas? Eat lots of good food and have a happy Christmas. Merry Christmas,” he wrote on Weverse.
Any lingering disappointment over the loss of his old posts didn’t last long. Soon after, Jimin surprised fans once again by uploading over 20 new photos across three posts. The fresh uploads included an adorable snapshot with Jungkook, a series of charming Polaroid-style images, and several new personal moments that instantly reignited fan excitement.
The response was immediate and overwhelming. Within just one hour, all three posts crossed one million likes, proving that even a total reset couldn’t slow down Jimin’s immense popularity or his connection with fans.
While some ARMYs admit they’ll always miss the nostalgia tied to Jimin’s earlier posts, many have embraced the reset as a meaningful gesture. For now, fans are simply happy to see him active again, starting fresh, smiling, and sharing new memories, just in time for the holiday season.
