Kartik Aaryan turns Devdas for Anurag Basu’s intense love story: Lost weight and remain in a dark place

Kartik Aaryan has emerged as a prominent actor in Hindi cinema. He has captivated fans with some of the strongest roles in his career and is currently gearing up for more powerful performances.

The actor notably has a packed schedule this year as he has four thrilling projects in which he will portray four totally different roles. However, he has recently wrapped up shooting of Anurag Basu’s untitled love story alongside Sreeleela.

The actor plays an emotionally consuming role in the upcoming film. The actor has dedicated his time and himself to his role and was so committed that he cut himself off from all personal interaction to stay in character.

A source close to the production said, “Kartik has never worked so hard to remain in character. He is following Dilip Kumar’s Devdas model. The late legendary actor became so involved with the character that he slept and breathed like Devdas.”

The source added, “Kartik has cut himself off from all person-to-person interaction. Anurag wanted Kartik to grow a beard, lose weight drastically and try to remain in a dark place.”

However, Kartik’s close friend shared, “He hardly sleeps, he hardly talks these days. All his focus is on remaining in character for the film.”

Besides this, the actor has two more exciting projects in which he will explore more intense characters. Kartik is also gearing up for Main Tera Tu Mera Tu Mera Main Tera, a light-hearted romance already winning hearts with its chemistry and music, and the massive monster-entertainer Nagzilla.
