Following the success of South Indian films like RRR and Kalki 2898 AD in Japan, Jr NTR's Devara: Part 1 is set to be the next big release in Japanese theatres, as confirmed by an official statement from the film's makers.
In an official announcement on X, the makers confirmed that Devara: Part 1 will be released in select theatres across Japan on March 28, 2025.
Tickets for the film will go on sale from January 3, 2025. The film's distribution in Japan will be managed by the same company that handled the release of Kalki 2898 AD.

Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara: Part 1 stars Jr. NTR in dual roles and marks the Telugu cinema debut of Bollywood actors Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. Released on September 27, 2024, the film tells the story of Devara, a chieftain from a coastal village, who battles his rival Bhaira in a conflict over arms smuggling in the Red Sea.
