The upcoming romantic drama Ishq Vishk Rebound, starring Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, and Jibraan Khan, is set to make a splash on the big screen this Friday. Ahead of its release, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted the film a U/A certificate, but not without suggesting a couple of modifications. The film, directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari, is produced by Ramesh Taurani and Jaya Taurani under the banner Tips Films Limited and is poised for a theatrical release on June 21.

CBFC’s Suggested Modifications

Blurring of Middle-Finger Visuals

The CBFC has suggested blurring all instances where characters show the middle finger. This adjustment aims to align the film with the guidelines set for U/A certification, ensuring that the content is appropriate for younger audiences when accompanied by an adult.

Alcohol Consumption Disclaimer

The second modification involves displaying a disclaimer on alcohol consumption at the bottom of the screen during all alcohol-related sequences. This disclaimer is intended to promote responsible drinking and awareness among viewers.

Runtime and Reception

Ishq Vishk Rebound is one of the shortest Hindi films to be released in recent times, with a total runtime of only 1 hour and 46 minutes (106 minutes). A multiplex official remarked, "It's common for Hollywood films to be 1 hour 40 or 50 minutes long. But we were pleasantly surprised to learn about its runtime. It's rare for a Hindi film to be this short. Now, we can accommodate 6 or even 7 shows of 'Ishq Vishk Rebound' in a screen per day, if required."

Speculation Around Shahid Kapoor’s Cameo

Recently, rumors have been circulating that Shahid Kapoor, who starred in the original "Ishq Vishk" (2003), would make a special cameo appearance in "Ishq Vishk Rebound." At the trailer launch event, director Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari addressed these claims, stating that all questions would be answered on the big screen on June 21. This anticipation adds an extra layer of excitement for fans of the original film.

Ishq Vishk Rebound marks the Hindi cinema debut of both Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari and Pashmina Roshan, who is Hrithik Roshan's niece. The film has been produced under the reputable banner of Tips Films Limited, known for its significant contributions to Bollywood's musical and cinematic landscape.
The trailer launch of Ishq Vishk Rebound has garnered considerable attention, reflecting a mix of nostalgia for the original film and curiosity about the new adaptation. The modern twist on the early 2000s romantic drama is expected to resonate with both older fans of the original film and a new generation of moviegoers.

Given its shorter runtime and the buzz generated around its release, Ishq Vishk Rebound is well-positioned to perform well at the box office. The ability to schedule more showings per day increases its potential ticket sales, making it a favorable choice for multiplexes.
