Bad Bunny took the risk and performed in all Spanish at the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, creating a historic moment. However, the singer was criticised on Sunday by President Donald Trump.
President Trump slammed the rapper, calling his Super Bowl LX performance "one of the worst."
The Puerto Rican artist is well-known for his albums and songs in Spanish. However, Trump objected to his Spanish-language performance on Sunday night.
Trump singled out halftime show Bad Bunny and pregame act Green Day in his criticism of the entertainment lineup.
"I oppose them. It's a horrible decision, in my opinion. It merely sows enmity. "Awful," he said. Green Day sang "Holiday" and "American Idiot" before kicking off without mentioning politics, in spite of the criticism.
In a pre-recorded NBC interview, Trump separately addressed football news, deeming it "very inappropriate" that six-time Super Bowl champion coach Bill Belichick was not elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame during his first year of eligibility.
Later, President Trump took to his Truth Social platform to continue his rant.
He wrote, “The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence. Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World.”
The U.S. president added, “This “Show” is just a “slap in the face” to our Country, which is setting new standards and records every single day — including the Best Stock Market and 401(k)s in History! There is nothing inspirational about this mess of a Halftime Show and watch, it will get great reviews from the Fake News Media, because they haven’t got a clue of what is going on in the REAL WORLD — And, by the way, the NFL should immediately replace its ridiculous new Kickoff Rule. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

An alternative halftime show would be presented by Turning Point USA for those who did not want to watch the Bad Bunny performance, as was previously announced. Kid Rock, a Trump loyalist, was scheduled to perform at that event.
The group, which was started by the late activist Charlie Kirk, announced last week that "The All-American Halftime Show" would honor "American faith, family, and freedom." After defeating the New England Patriots 29–13, the Seattle Seahawks emerged victorious in Super Bowl LX.
