Actress Jeon Jong Seo has recently bagged her second Hollywood movie, and this time with Henry Cavill. She will star in Highlander.
According to Allkpop, Jeon’s agency ANDMARQ has confirmed the reports and announced, “Jeon Jong Seo will appear in the film Highlander, which begins filming next year, as a member of the secret organization known as the Watchers.”
Highlander, a 1986 fantasy film remake, shows battles between immortal warriors over centuries as they attempt to eradicate one another.
The shooting of the film was initially expected to begin this fall. However, Henry Cavill sustained some on-set injuries, which pushed the shooting to early next year.
Directed by Chad Stahelski, Highlander features a star-studded cast including Russell Crowe, Marisa Abela, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, and Jeremy Irons. Henry will play the titular role of MacLeod.
The new version of Highlander will be produced by Scott Stuber and Nick Nesbitt alongside Neal H Moritz, Stahelski’s 87Eleven Entertainment, Josh Davis of Davis Panzer Productions, and Louise Rosner. The film will be presented under Amazon and MGM’s United Artists banner. The script is penned by Michael Finch.
The film revolves around the titular Highlander, an immortal Scottish swordsman who must confront the last of his immortal opponents, a murderously brutal barbarian who lusts for the fabled "Prize".
