Superman actor Henry Cavill is all set to take on a new cape in the Highlander reboot. The makers of the upcoming reboot have recently unveiled the first look at the actor, sending fans into a frenzy.
Directed by John Wick director Chad Stahelski, Henry Cavill is sure to captivate the audience with the new project. Henry took to his Instagram on Wednesday and shared his first look from the film.
Sharing the picture, he penned in the caption, "Happy First Look for Highlander! This has been quite the journey for me, which I'll tell you all about when the time is right, but it's a special moment to be able to share this. I hope you enjoy. #Highlander."
Filming has finally begun on Henry Cavill's 2021 announcement that he will star in the Highlander revival.
According to Variety, the first-look images don't disclose much, but they resemble the tone and appearance of Keanu Reeves' four action-packed John Wick films, all of which were directed by Stahelski.
Henry is seen brandishing a heavy sword in one picture, and based on the two distinct settings, it seems like it might be a global epic. Due to Henry's injury sustained during the film's preparation, production was postponed until late last year.
Russell Crowe, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Dave Bautista, Marisa Abela, and Max Zhang are all involved in the project.
Ryan J. Condal and Kerry Williamson had contributed to previous iterations of the film, while Michael Finch authored the screenplay.

For the unversed, the original Highlander film was released in 1986 and starred Christopher Lambert as Connor MacLeod, a Medieval Scottish Highlander who discovers he is an immortal warrior.
The film revolves around the titular Highlander, an immortal Scottish swordsman who must confront the last of his immortal opponents, a murderously brutal barbarian who lusts for the fabled "Prize".
