Hera Pheri 3: Producer credits Akshay Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala for Paresh Rawal’s comeback

The legendary comic chaos of Hera Pheri is officially set to make a return—this time with its original cast intact. After months of uncertainty, the beloved franchise is back in action, and fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief as Paresh Rawal, who had earlier announced his departure, has now rejoined Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty for Hera Pheri 3.

The third instalment in the cult comedy series has had its fair share of ups and downs. It was earlier confirmed that Priyadarshan, the director of the original 2000 film, would once again helm the project, with filming anticipated to begin towards the end of 2025.

However, in a surprising twist this past May, Paresh Rawal revealed he was stepping away from the film, leaving long-time fans disheartened and unsure about the future of the franchise.

But in a heartwarming development, producer Firoz Nadiadwala has confirmed that the original team is back together—and it’s all thanks to the timely intervention of industry veterans Sajid Nadiadwala and Ahmed Khan.

“With the love, respect, and kind guidance of my brother Sajid Nadiadwala and Mr. Ahmed Khan, the Hera Pheri family is back together," Firoz shared. “Sajid put in a lot of personal time and effort—over several days—to mend things. We share a bond of over 50 years."

Firoz also emphasised Akshay Kumar’s role in restoring the unity. “Akshay ji has been nothing but kind, affectionate, and supportive. We’ve had a strong bond since 1996. He didn’t think twice about sitting down with his childhood friend Sajid to sort things out."

The reunion marks a new chapter not just for the film, but also for the team that made it iconic. With Rawal, Shetty, and Priyadarshan all on board and fully committed, Firoz promised, “This will be another classic entertainer in the Hera Pheri franchise. The family is together again.”

As the producer’s other project, Welcome To The Jungle, continues filming, fans now eagerly await the laughter riot that Hera Pheri 3 is sure to deliver.
