Television personality and model Malaika Arora was visited by numerous celebrities on Wednesday following the tragic death of her father, Anil Kuldip Mehta. Among those who arrived at her father's residence to offer condolences were her former boyfriend, actor Arjun Kapoor, and close friends, actors Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor. They were seen staying late into the night, offering support to the grieving family.
Malaika Arora, her son Arhaan Khan, and her sister Amrita Arora were seen leaving their father’s home late on the night of September 11, accompanied by their close friends. According to police reports, Anil Mehta died by suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of his residence in Bandra on September 11. Investigations are underway.
Arjun Kapoor was seen escorting the family to their respective cars, with Kareena and Karisma also offering support as they departed. Videos shared on social media showed Arjun leading Malaika to her car while Amrita left with her husband, Shakeel Ladak.
In the aftermath of her father's death, Malaika released a public statement, requesting privacy. It read: "We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock over this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect."

According to Mumbai Police, Anil Mehta’s death is currently being investigated as a suspected suicide. DCP Crime Branch Raj Tilak Roshan shared that a post-mortem examination is being conducted at Bhabha Hospital, with police and forensic teams actively involved in the investigation. Malaika, who was in Pune at the time of her father’s death, rushed back to Mumbai upon hearing the news.

Anil Kuldip Mehta’s estranged wife, Joyce Polycarp, was reportedly at home in their flat at Ayesha Manor in Bandra when the tragic incident occurred. Prior to his death, Anil Kuldip Mehta, who was 65, had called his daughters, expressing that he was "sick and tired." The investigation remains ongoing as the family mourns their loss.
