Veteran actor Govinda is getting ready for Duniyadari, his eagerly anticipated comeback to the big screen. The legendary 90s star has begun working on the project after taking a hiatus from films, and in a recent Instagram post, she gave fans a behind-the-scenes look.
On Wednesday, Govinda took to Instagram to share a video giving fans a glimpse of his dance rehearsals. In the clip, the actor is seen performing with ease and grace, executing what appears to be the signature step from a song in his upcoming film.
The caption read, "Doing rehearsal for my forthcoming film duniyadari."
Even though a lot of the film's details are still unknown, fans are clearly excited about Govinda's return, especially since his last big-screen appearance was in the 2019 movie Rangeela Raja.
An old dispute involving the actor has also come up again amid the excitement surrounding his comeback. Govinda had previously made a claim that attracted a lot of attention and scepticism at the time: he was offered the lead role in James Cameron's Avatar. The subject was recently brought back into the public eye during a discussion between Uorfi Javed and Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja.
The long-running argument became even more intriguing when Sunita responded to a question regarding the claim by saying that she was unaware of Govinda ever receiving an offer for a part in Avatar.
She said, "Arey yaar mujhe toh nahi pata yeh kab offer hui. 40 saal toh mujhe ho gaye hain Govinda ke saath. Vo Avatar ka director-producer kab aaya mujhe nahi malum. Hui bhi hai ki nahi mujhe nahi malum. Main jhooth nahi bolti, naa main kisi ka side lungi. Main jhooth ka saath nahi deti (Arre yaar, I have no idea when this was even offered. It’s been 40 years for me with Govinda. I don’t know when that Avatar director-producer came, or if he even came at all. I really don’t know. I don’t lie, nor do I take anyone’s side. I don’t support anything that’s untrue.)
