Faissal Khan says Aamir Khan was devastated after divorce with first wife Reena Dutta

Faissal Khan recently revealed that his brother and superstar Aamir Khan was devastated after his divorce from his first wife, Reena Khan.

Aamir Khan was married to Reena Dutta and together they had two kids, Ira and Junaid.

In an interview with Pinkvilla recently, Faissal Khan spoke about his brother's love story with Reena Dutta and that the separation had a deep impact on him.

In the same interview, Faissal said Reena and Aamir's relationship was 'genuine and selfless'.

“Reena ke saath mera bahut achcha tha; she has always been very nice to me. She is a lovely lady. It was sad that they broke up. He was shattered. She was with him when he was nothing, so she didn’t have any ulterior motive ki yeh Aamir Khan hai; woh bana baad mein, pehle Reena aayi thi. You understand that the love is pure," said Faissal.

Faissal also revealed that he was the only family member who knew about Aamir's marriage to Reena at that time.

“I was very close to him. There was a time when Aamir got married to Reena, only I knew in the entire family and no one else. He was very nice to me even when I was locked up, he was caring," he said.

He also spoke about Aamir Khan's second wife Kiran Rao and said he didn't spend much time with her.

“I don’t know her that well. I never spent time or interacted with her on any level. She also doesn’t know me much, woh mauka hi nahi mila. She was living with Aamir for two years before getting married in 2005. They both were busy with their work and I was locked in the house," said Faissal.

In the same interview, Faissal had accused his brother Aamir of confining him to a room for a year.

But he says now the issues are resolved: "I love Aamir, I respect him. I don’t even have any grudges against my family, we are all back together. Past is the past, we celebrate birthdays and functions now."

Later Aamir Khan and family also issued a statement denying any wrong doing.
