Devara advance booking Day 1: Jr NTR's film sells tickets worth Rs 8 crore

Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor's Devara is creating waves ahead of its big release across India. The movie's advance bookings opened on September 23 and it has managed to earn a whopping Rs 8 crore across India in advance bookings already.

The film is likely to get a further boost with Andhra Pradesh government led by Chandrababu Naidu allowing multiplexes to hike the ticket prices in the state.

According to a report in Sacknilk, In Andhra Pradesh alone, the tickets worth Rs 5.10 crore have been sold for 1,187 shows.

In Telangana tickets worth Rs 11.58 lakh were sold and there are 25 shows in the state.

In neighbouring Karnataka, there are 451 shows and around Rs 2.36 crore has been earned by the movie till now.

In Tamil Nadu the movie has earned Rs 28.12 lakh in advance bookings and Rs 1.03 lakh in Uttarakhand.

Giving a boost to the ticket sales, Andhra government has allowed multiplexes to increase the ticket prices by Rs 135. The upper-class tickets could be hiked by Rs 110 and lower-class tickets by Rs 60.

Jr NTR's maternal uncle and CM Chandrababu Naidu has also allowed 6 special shows of Devara on first day beginning at midnight. The rest of the five shows will begin from the second day.

Jr NTR took to his X account to thank the Andhra Pradesh CM and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan for this big move which will definitely help the movie.

Devara is directed by Koratala Siva, and it is the story of Devara, who is a fearless man from a coastal area and how he makes sure to safeguard the lives of his people. But his brother Bhaira played by Saif Ali Khan conspires against him.

Jr NTR will be seen in a double role and the film also marks the Telugu debut of both Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.

The film also has Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Murali Sharma, and Shruti Marathe in pivotal roles.
