In the latest promo of CID season 2 shared by SonyLIV on Instagram, the team is investigating the murders of some police officers. However, it seems that Daya has become an adversary, secretly collaborating with Shreya to conceal some evidence.
The high commission dispatches a new officer to investigate the motives of Daya and the truth behind the police officer murders as the murder mystery deepens.
In the latest promo of CID season 2 shared by SonyLIV on Instagram, the team is investigating the murders of some police officers. Actor Sanjay Narvekar will portray this new officer. He will be Omkar Sawant, the superintendent.
Speaking to Bollywood Life, Sanjay spoke about his new role and said, “The SOS officer has come from Delhi to investigate in the CID office after a series of murders. Five officers are killed, and the blame probably falls on the CID team. The investigation officers from Delhi think that there is someone in CID who is committing these murders."
He mentioned that the character tends to relate everything to tea, which brings a humorous touch to the role. Unlike the intense approach seen in shows like CID with lines like "Kuch toh gadbad hai," this character approaches cases more lightly. However, he noted that when it comes to solving the case, the character is highly effective and formidable as a police officer, which ultimately adds depth to his portrayal.
Sanjay Narvekar is known for his work in shows including Udne Ki Aasha and Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.
