The viral entry song featuring Akshaye Khanna in Dhurandhar has done more than set the tone for the film; it has introduced Indian audiences to Flipperachi, a pioneering voice in Khaleeji hip-hop from Bahrain.

The track, titled FA9LA, has quickly gained international traction, landing on Spotify’s Viral 50 chart and marking a significant cultural crossover. FA9LA has also emerged as the most-streamed song in India, securing the top position on Spotify’s Top 50 chart.

Celebrating the milestone, Flipperachi recently took to Instagram Stories to thank Indian listeners for their overwhelming support and encouraged fans to check out the official version of the track. The response highlights the song’s rapid rise and its strong connection with audiences across the country.

In Dhurandhar, the song features during a striking entry sequence for Akshaye Khanna’s character, Rehman Daquait. The actor commands attention with his confident screen presence, performing to the pulsating track while showcasing impressive dance moves.

Dressed in a sharp suit and dark sunglasses, Akshaye Khanna’s stylish performance adds to the song’s impact, making the scene one of the film’s most talked-about moments.

Born Hussam Aseem in 1989, Flipperachi is among Bahrain’s earliest hip-hop artists. He began writing and performing rap at the age of 12, turning professional while still in his teens. Over the years, he has carved a distinctive sound by blending contemporary hip-hop beats with traditional Khaleeji rhythms, Gulf slang, and bilingual Arabic-English lyrics. This fusion has made his music energetic, accessible, and deeply rooted in regional identity.

A major turning point in his career came in 2008, when he signed with Outlaw Productions. His debut album, Straight Out Of 2Seas, earned widespread recognition across the Gulf, establishing him as a leading figure in the region’s rap movement. Successful collaborations with rapper Daffy further cemented his popularity.

Flipperachi’s reach soon extended beyond the Middle East. He went on to collaborate with international artists including The Game, Shaggy, and Shaquille O’Neal, bringing Khaleeji hip-hop into global conversations. In recognition of his contribution to music and culture, he was named Bahraini Artist of the Year in 2024.
