  • Delhi HC criticized Yadav for non-compliance in cheque case

Actor Rajpal Yadav’s bail plea is going to come up for hearing in the Delhi High Court on Monday (February 16) in the Rs 9 crore cheque‑bounce and loan dispute case. The Delhi HC had adjourned the hearing on Thursday.

Earlier, there were rumours that the actor was already out of jail as a video of him went viral. Putting rumours to end, his wife, Radha said, “As of now, he is not out of Tihar Jail. The bail hearing is scheduled for Monday (February 16)." She also shared an update about his well-being and added, “He is okay, from what I understand."

Ahead of his bail hearing today, actor Sonu Sood has extended his support for Rajpal Yadav.

Sonu Sood wrote on his X account that he was with Rajpal and praying for a positive outcome, urging fans and the industry to support the actor in his time of need.

He wrote, “Today is an important day for our brother Rajpal Yadav bhai. Praying that things move in the right direction and he gets the relief he deserves. He’s a rare talent and a wonderful soul. Let’s not let the momentum die, we stand with him and will keep going till things are right." Check out his post below!

Earlier, Sonu Sood had also shared a message urging the film industry to stand by him. Sonu wrote, “Rajpal Yadav is a gifted actor who has given years of unforgettable work to our industry. Sometimes life turns unfair, not because of talent, but because timing can be brutal. He will be part of my film, and I believe this is the moment for all of us…producers, directors, colleagues to stand together. A small signing amount, adjustable against future work, is not charity, it’s dignity. When one of our own is going through a tough phase, the industry must remind him he’s not alone. This is how we show we are more than just an industry."

Industry offers help to Rajpal Yadav

Alongside Sonu, stars like Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn have publicly offered support, and even boxing champion‑turned‑actor Vijender Singh extended a gesture of professional help by offering Yadav a role in his upcoming film — a move aimed at uplifting him during this difficult chapter.

On Thursday, February 12, 2026, the Delhi High Court strongly criticised actor Rajpal Yadav for failing to honor commitments in a crore cheque bounce case, stating he was in Tihar Jail due to his own non-compliance, not just a court order. The court observed he failed to pay despite previous assurances and adjourned his bail plea to Monday.
