Rajpal Yadav remains in Tihar Jail, contrary to recent rumours circulating online that he had been released, his wife Radha Yadav has clarified in a recent statement. The speculation stemmed from the resurfacing of an old video of Rajpal thanking superstar Salman Khan, which led some social media users to incorrectly conclude that he had secured bail or been freed. Radha dismissed these claims and stated that, “As of now, he is not out of Tihar Jail,” confirming that the actor is still serving time in connection with the ongoing cheque‑bounce and debt case against him.
Speaking candidly about his current circumstances with Bombay Times, Radha said, “As of now, he is not out of Tihar Jail. The bail hearing is scheduled for Monday (February 16)." She also shared an update about his well-being and added, “He is okay, from what I understand."
Though there have been rumours suggesting that several prominent figures — including Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Ajay Devgn — have helped financially, Radha chose not to name specific individuals or disclose any figures at this stage. Speaking about the support Rajpal Yadav has received from the film fraternity during this challenging period, she said, “Our whole family is together at this time. We are grateful for the support and love he is receiving from his fans and the film fraternity."
“I can’t take any specific names right now, but I would just want to say many people from the industry have stepped in to support. I’m not able to divulge names and figures at this stage," she said.
Radha ended her remarks on a hopeful note, saying the family is “very hopeful” that Rajpal will be out soon and will speak to the media himself with more details once the legal process progresses further.
“We are hopeful that he will be out soon. That’s all I can say now. Once Rajpalji is out, he will be able speak to you and the media and give further clarity on the matter," she said.
Radha’s clarification came after viral social media posts incorrectly implied that the actor’s legal troubles had been resolved. She explained that the bail hearing for Rajpal Yadav was scheduled for February 16, 2026, underscoring that the legal process is still underway and that there are no official orders granting his release. Her comments were aimed at providing factual clarity and reassuring fans who were concerned by the misleading reports.

The actor’s current situation stems from a long‑running cheque‑bounce case related to a loan taken to finance his 2012 directorial debut Ata Pata Laapata, which reportedly escalated to nearly Rs 9 crore in unpaid dues over time. Rajpal had surrendered to authorities earlier this month after the court refused to grant further delays on his imprisonment.
