Amid growing concern within the film industry, Kamaal R Khan has joined Sonu Sood and Gurmeet Choudhary in extending support to actor Rajpal Yadav, who is currently lodged in Tihar Jail in connection with a cheque bounce case.

Taking to X on Tuesday, KRK appealed to members of the film fraternity to unite and financially assist Rajpal during this difficult period. He publicly offered monetary help and called for collective action.

He wrote, “I am ready to give ₹10 lakhs for Rajpal Yadav. Let’s all Bollywood people come together to give him ₹5 cr! If he pays back only ₹5 cr, then he can come out of jail immediately! Let’s all help him."

Earlier, actor Sonu Sood had also come forward to support Rajpal Yadav financially. Sharing a heartfelt message on Instagram, Sonu acknowledged Rajpal’s contribution to cinema and highlighted how circumstances can sometimes overshadow talent. He wrote, “Rajpal Yadav is a gifted actor who has given years of unforgettable work to our industry. Sometimes life turns unfair, not because of talent, but because timing can be brutal."

Sonu further revealed that he plans to cast Rajpal in his upcoming project, stressing the importance of dignity over charity. "He will be part of my film, and I believe this is the moment for all of us, producers, directors, colleagues, to stand together. A small signing amount, adjustable against future work, is not charity; it’s dignity. When one of our own is going through a tough phase, the industry must remind him he’s not alone. This is how we show we are more than just an industry."

Actor Gurmeet Choudhary also expressed his anguish over Rajpal’s situation through a post on X, calling it heartbreaking to see a senior artist face such adversity. He wrote, “It breaks my heart to see a senior, immensely talented artist like Rajpal Yadav ji going through such a painful phase. He has given us countless smiles, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Today, he needs us."

And family does not abandon its own."
