Nimrat Kaur on the challenge of playing a 'Self-Assured' villain in The Family Man season 3

The Family Man has long been known for casting formidable talent to go head-to-head with Manoj Bajpayee’s Srikant Tiwari, and season three continues that tradition. This time, actors like Jaideep Ahlawat and Nimrat Kaur deliver standout performances, bringing depth, menace, and complexity that raise the stakes of the narrative. Nimrat, in particular, has impressed audiences with her portrayal of a powerful, self-assured character navigating a male-dominated world with ruthless efficiency.

Her character has quickly become a fan favourite, admired for her intelligence, authority, and unwavering presence. It is this confidence and command of power that resonates strongly with viewers, a trait Nimrat found both empowering and contrasting to her own personal experiences.

Reflecting on the experience, she remarked, “I think it's fascinating that the writer's room is all men. We are meeting a woman in a man's world who's running a show like a man and is written by men. You know, I find that fascinating and it is so empowering to take that position and then fly with it and then look at your own self. And many times I used to actually think about my own self and I used to be like you know it would be kind of cool to be this self assured about so many situations which otherwise I would just you know be under a quilt about.”

Nimrat acknowledged the gap between the character's self-assuredness and her own personal life, underscoring the liberating nature of her profession, “It is so interesting that what I'm trying to sell as an idea or as a character on screen, I'm not sure if I can pull it off in real life. I really don't know if I have it in me with my conditioning, my upbringing, all of that. This is the freedom of being an actor.”

Under Raj & DK’s signature blend of high-octane action and relatable, comedic chaos, The Family Man 3 is more than a spy thriller; it’s a cultural moment. With high-stakes missions in the North-East, the return of fan favourites like Sharib Hashmi (JK) and Priyamani (Suchitra), and the formidable challenges posed by Nimrat Kaur’s character, season three promises to be unmissable. Srikant Tiwari faces perhaps his toughest balancing act yet,  juggling national duty with family life streaming globally on Prime Video.
