Yash Raj Films' Mardaani 3 continues to dominate the box office and has advanced the highly regarded Mardaani franchise. As the highest-grossing movie in the Mardaani franchise, Mardaani 3 achieved yet another milestone today, surpassing 50 crore at the Indian box office and 75 crore worldwide.

Rani believes that the success of Mardaani 3 is a silent but impactful statement with amazing audience affection at a time when alpha-male characters are controlling the box office.

Rani says, “I’m deeply grateful that Mardaani 3 has connected with audiences in such a big way. At a time when the box office conversation is slightly centered around ‘alpha male’ characters, this success proves something very powerful - that female-led films also have an audience. I hope the industry has noticed this so that we have more such films made.”

She adds, “Shivani Shivaji Roy was not written as a ‘female version’ of anything. She is simply a hero - defined by integrity, courage and empathy. She is equal to her male counterparts. The fact that audiences have embraced her story so strongly shows that people are ready for narratives where a woman leads not just emotionally, but commercially.”

Rani further says, “This milestone is much bigger than numbers. It sends a message to the industry that content with purpose, anchored by a strong female protagonist, can stand shoulder to shoulder with hero-driven films and it tells filmmakers that investing in female-led stories is not a risk - it’s an opportunity.”

According to Rani, the success of female-led films is essential for Indian cinema.

She says, “For me, Mardaani franchise’s success marks expanding what heroism looks like in Indian cinema. In terms of significance, such a success is a necessity for cinema because we have to make different films and definitely put a woman at the forefront of such cinema.”

With the release of Mardaani 3, Rani has now achieved three hits in this franchise, all of which have been box office successes.

The actress further explained Mardaani franchise has been receiving so much love for over 12 years now.

Rani said, “I think audiences have connected with Shivani Shivani Roy for 12 years now is because she reflects an idea of strength and resilience that is empowering for women and for society at large. Where courage is not about how loudly you roar but how consistently you stand your ground. Perhaps that’s why she stands out. Perhaps that’s why Shivani has resonated so much with people.”

With no competition until the release of Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic, Mardaani 3 will continue to make money at the box office in the days ahead while delivering its harsh message to the Indian populace.

In her 30th year as a leading lady, Rani Mukerji has once again achieved solo theatrical success. This uncommon achievement highlights her longevity and ongoing box office reputation in the Indian cinema business.

Mardaani 3's release is particularly significant because it marks Rani Mukerji's 30th anniversary in the motion picture business, a historic occasion that has inspired widespread gratitude and celebration in the industry.
