Actress Keerthy Suresh, who recently won a National Award, gave fans a sweet glimpse into a special evening spent with two of Indian cinema's most cherished icons, Rekha and Rani Mukerji.
The three, who were all Best Actress winners at the National Film Awards, were photographed together at a dinner, and Keerthy posted a number of unposed photos to social media.
Sharing the pictures on her Instagram, she penned in the caption, “An evening to remember,” prompting excitement among cinephiles everywhere.
Actors from various Indian film eras came together for the event. Keerthy, wearing a stylish black pantsuit and crop top, posed with Rani in a beautiful maroon and satin outfit and Rekha in a classic white salwar kameez with a golden dupatta.
The actresses' affection and admiration for one another were evident in the pictures, which honoured accomplishments that cut across generations and genres.
Each of the three women has won the coveted National Award for Best Actress in India. While Rekha collected the award decades earlier for her role in Umrao Jaan (1981), Keerthy gained it for her critically praised portrayal of the legendary Savitri in Mahanati (2018).
The evening's talent lineup was genuinely historic, as Rani Mukerji received recognition for her impactful performance in Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway (2023).
With a packed schedule of upcoming projects, Keerthy's career off-screen continues to grow. Her next films include Thottam, starring Antony Varghese Pepe, the eagerly awaited pan-Indian action drama Rowdy Janardhana, starring Vijay Deverakonda, and Akka, produced by Yash Raj Films.
The breadth and scope of her future work are further highlighted by her untitled partnership with filmmakers Praveen S. Vijaay and Mysskin, as well as rumours that a project involving her and Rajkummar Rao is also in the works.
