Man Singh arrested in Mumbai

Man Singh, who appeared in web series like Farzi and The Family Man as a supporting actor, has recently been arrested in relation to an MDMA trafficking investigation by the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Narcotics Task Force (UP ANTF).

Man Singh was taken into custody by the UP ANTF Agra unit. According to officials, he appeared in a number of movies and web series as a supporting actor and allegedly utilised his connection to the film business as a front for drug trafficking.

Man Singh, a resident of Delhi's Rajouri Garden, was allegedly on the run in a case involving the trafficking of the illegal drug MDMA, according to the ANTF. The agency claimed that before finding him in Mumbai, its staff had been looking for him for a considerable amount of time.

At the time of his arrest, according to officials, the accused was residing at the Marina Enclave Building in Malvani, Mumbai. Under the pretence of appearing in movies and web series, Man Singh was accused by the ANTF of being involved in the supply and trafficking of MDMA. As part of the ANTF's continuous campaign against drug trafficking networks, the arrest was made.

Man Singh told the police that he had relocated to Mumbai in 2008 in order to pursue a career in movies.  He clarified that while he eventually started landing parts in movies and TV shows, he also met and collaborated with a drug dealer.

Shailendra Kumar and Hariom Dhakare were two of Singh's contacts during this period of drug trafficking; both were taken into custody by the UP police on October 3, 2024.

This probe led to Man Singh, who allegedly received money from them through a bank transfer and had made several trips to Agra in order to handle drugs. In an effort to locate the remaining members of the drug trafficking organisation that Man Singh was a part of, the ANTF investigation is still ongoing.
