Emraan Hashmi has once again demonstrated why he is regarded as one of the most dedicated and resilient actors in the film industry.
While filming an intense action sequence for Awarapan 2, the actor reportedly sustained a serious abdominal tissue tear that required immediate medical intervention and surgery.
Despite the severity of the injury, Emraan chose not to step away from the project for long. Sources reveal that Emraan returned to the sets much earlier than expected, motivated by his commitment to the film, his character, and his audience.
According to sources, Emraan is currently back on location in Rajasthan, with the shoot continuing under strict medical supervision. His action sequences have been carefully modified, and the shooting schedule has been reworked to ensure that his health and recovery remain the top priority while allowing the production to progress without disruption.
His determination and professionalism have reportedly left the entire team deeply inspired, with many expressing admiration for his passion and work ethic.
Awarapan 2 is one of the most anticipated upcoming films, and Emraan’s decision to push forward despite physical challenges has added an emotional layer to the film’s journey even before its release.
Awarapan 2 is the sequel to the 2007 cult film Awarapan and sees Emraan Hashmi reprise his role as Shivam. The film also stars Disha Patani, with Shabana Azmi joining the cast, and is directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Films.
The sequel continues Shivam’s story and is slated for a theatrical release on April 3, 2026. Shooting for the film began in Bangkok, and the project is expected to feature powerful music and strong emotional themes as it takes the character’s journey forward.
