Bollywood couple Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal have finally revealed the name of their son, Vihaan Kaushal, two months after his arrival.

However, netizens have found Vihaan’s connection to Vicky’s blockbuster, Uri: The Surgical Strike. Soon after the announcement, several fans started commenting that Vicky had named his son after his Uri’s character.

For the unversed, Vicky Kaushal played the role of Vihaan Shergill, an army officer in the 2019 blockbuster film.

The similarity has caused internet users to applaud aloud, even though Vicky has not publicly acknowledged that his baby Vihaan was named after his Uri character.

One person commented, “Major Vihaan Shergill in the house. "HOWS THE JOSH?” Another added, “how's the josh, high sir?” A third person wrote, “Vihan shergill from uri.”

Katrina Kaif took to her Instagram on January 7 to reveal the name of her and Vicky’s son. Sharing the first picture of Vihaan, she penned in the caption, “Our Ray of Light Vihaan Kaushal. Prayers are answered. Life is beautiful. Our world is changed in a instant. Gratitude beyond words.”

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in 2021, surrounded by just 120 close friends and family, including celebrities like Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, and Kabir Khan. The couple had kept their relationship private before tying the knot, but they sparked the dating rumours for the first time in 2019.

About Uri: The Surgical Strike

Uri: The Surgical Strike was released in 2019. The film is a gripping Indian military action film that dramatises the 2016 surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film follows Major Vihaan Shergill (essayed by Vicky Kaushal) as he plans and executes a covert mission in response to a deadly terror attack. The film also stars Yami Gautam in the lead.
