Aditya Dhar’s latest spy action thriller, Dhurandhar, has been making waves at the box office, and this past weekend, it achieved something unusual.
The film's second Sunday turned out to be the biggest day for the movie yet marking a positive sign for the film's continued success.
Audiences across India flocked to theatres in droves, showing that the film’s word-of-mouth magic is still going strong.
On Sunday December 14, 2025, locations in major cities had packed shows including late show, with early estimates suggesting a single day collection of Rs 59 crore. Dhurandhar has crossed the 300-crore mark with this milestone. As per a traing website, the total box office collection of the film is around Rs 351 crore.
The film has maintained a remarkable consistency since its release on 5 December, starting with a strong opening day of Rs 28 crore, followed by Rs 32 crore on Saturday and Rs 43 crore on the first Sunday. Even during the weekdays, it held steady, and the second weekend saw an impressive surge, with Friday at Rs 32.5 crore, Saturday at Rs 53 crore, and Sunday at Rs 59 crore.
On Sunday, Hindi occupancy averaged 76.84%, with afternoon and evening shows almost fully booked, reflecting the enthusiasm of viewers eager to experience the film.
Aditya Dhar, who gained recognition recently through Uri: The Surgical Strike, directed Dhurandhar.
The film stars Ranveer Singh along with Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, R Madhavan and Rakesh Bedi.
Produced by Aditya Dhar and his brother Lokesh Dhar under B62 Studios, in collaboration with Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios, the film has resonated with audiences looking for high-octane action blended with a compelling story.
