Actress Daisy Shah has voiced her support for filmmaker and composer Palash Muchhal amid the controversy surrounding his cancelled wedding with Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana. While promoting her upcoming film, which is directed by Palash, Daisy described him as a “very good person” and spoke warmly about his family.
Speaking with Filmygyan, she said, “Palash is very good as a person. In fact, I have met him a couple of times. Palak had done a song for Jai Ho, so I have known her since then, so I frequently go to parties at Palak‘s home for birthdays and Ganpati Pooja, and that’s how I met Palash. That’s how I got to know that he is a music composer and a director."
Her comments come at a time when Palash has been in the headlines following the abrupt cancellation of his wedding with Smriti Mandhana. The couple’s wedding was reportedly scheduled for late 2025 but was first postponed due to health concerns in the family and later called off entirely. In the aftermath, rumours and allegations surfaced online, sparking widespread chatter about the reasons behind the split.
Without directly addressing the allegations, Daisy maintained that she prefers to form her views based on personal interactions rather than public narratives. She reiterated that in all her meetings with Palash, he has been respectful, spiritual and family-oriented. According to her, his upbringing and values reflect positively in his conduct.
Daisy’s statement adds a supportive voice amid the ongoing speculation, highlighting how public controversies often have multiple perspectives. While neither Palash nor Smriti has spoken in detail about the matter, Daisy’s remarks underline the importance of separating personal experiences from unverified rumours circulating on social media.
