
Bollywood actors Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty starrer war drama 'Border 2' has been putting up a strong performance at the box office since its release on January 23.
The film saw a noticeable dip on Day 5's earnings and managed to collect Rs 19.50 crore on Tuesday largely following the conclusion of the extended Republic Day weekend. This marked a sharp drop from its Republic Day bumper earnings of Rs 59 crore. And now the movie has inched closer to Rs 200 crore in India nett.
Monday proved to be a landmark day for the film, as it not only clocked its highest single-day collection but also secured a place in the record books for registering one of the highest Republic Day collections of all time.
According to trade tracking websites, Border 2 opened on a solid note with Rs 30 crore on its first Friday, followed by a healthy jump to Rs 36.5 crore on Saturday. The upward trend continued on Sunday, with collections peaking at an impressive Rs 54.5 crore. The film held exceptionally well on Monday with Rs 59 crore, before settling at an estimated Rs 19.50 crore on Tuesday based on early figures.
With this, the film’s total collection for the first five days stands at Rs 196.50 crore.
Theatre occupancy
In terms of occupancy, Border 2 recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 24.82% on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Morning shows began at 11.21%, which improved to 24.22% in the afternoon. The evening shows performed better with 29.79% occupancy, while night shows registered the highest turnout at 34.07%.

Meanwhile, the film’s gross domestic total has reached an impressive Rs 235.7 crore. Adding to this, Rs 35 crore from overseas markets has pushed the worldwide collection to a strong Rs 270.7 crore.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 serves as a passionate sequel to the much-loved 1997 war classic Border, carrying forward its legacy on a grand scale.
