Bhuvan Bam on working with Jaaved Jaaferi in Taaza Khabar: "Collaborating with him has definitely upped my game"

Jaaved Jaaferi emerges as the new formidable villain in Disney+ Hotstar's Taaza Khabar Season 2, portraying the character of Yusuf, who embodies the true essence of a powerful adversary.

The much-anticipated second season of Taaza Khabar, the Hotstar Specials series starring internet sensation Bhuvan Bam in lead role, returns on September 27, 2024, on Disney+ Hotstar. Recently, Bhuvan shared his experience on working actor Jaaved Jaaferi, who joined the cast in the latest season.

Jaaved Jaaferi emerges as the new formidable villain in Taaza Khabar Season 2, portraying the character of Yusuf, who embodies the true essence of a powerful adversary. Bhuvan Bam reflects on this dynamic, expressing his excitement about having Yusuf as his on-screen nemesis while enjoying a friendship with Jaaved Jaaferi off-screen during filming.

In this season, Vasya's journey takes a dark turn as he confronts the formidable Yusuf Akhtar, endangering both his life and the safety of his loved ones. The stakes are high as he navigates these challenges, with the possibility of his vardaan coming to his aid once more.

Elaborating on the same, Bhuvan Bam said, “Jaaved sir is truly an icon and has been my childhood idol, so working with him has been a dream come true. Given the choice, I would prefer his character Yusuf as a friend rather than a foe but Yusuf as a nemesis adds a lot of dramatic tension to the show, which is exciting for the storyline. However, on a personal level, I loved the wit and warmth of Javed Jaaferi sir, his presence on set brought a lot of energy and humour, and collaborating with him has definitely upped my game and I think having him as a friend would be incredibly rewarding both professionally and personally.”
