
Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar, has penned a moving tribute after the unfortunate demise of Agnivesh Agarwal. She has expressed her deep sorrow and sent her prayers to the family of the deceased.
Posting on Instagram Stories, Bhumi Pednekar revealed that the news about the death of Agnivesh Agarwal had made her "very sad at heart".
She reflected on the short meetings she had with him and said that even during those very brief moments, his kindness and warmth were so evident that they really touched her soul.
From the actor's point of view, the mans "gentleness, warmth, and love were so evident that everyone who met him was left with an unforgettable memory of him".
In her emotional message, Bhumi Pednekar extended her sympathies to Agnivesh Agarwal’s family, specifically mentioning Anil uncle, Aunty, Priya, Akarsh, Mahi, and the entire Vedanta family. She described the loss as “beyond comprehension” and acknowledged the immense pain they must be experiencing.
She wrote, "The news of Agnivesh Agarwal’s passing has left me deeply heartbroken. I had the privilege of meeting him a few times, and even in those fleeting moments, his gentleness, warmth, and love were profoundly evident."
She continued, "My heart goes out to Anil uncle, Aunty, Priya, Akarsh, Mahi and the entire Vedanta family. This loss is beyond comprehension, and I can only imagine the immeasurable pain you are enduring. May you find strength in one another, and may his love continue to live on through all the lives he so deeply touched. Holding you in my thoughts and prayers."

Agnivesh Agarwal, 49, the son of Vedanta Group chairman Anil Agarwal, passed away following complications after a skiing accident in the United States.
He suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while recovering at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Announcing the loss on Wednesday, Anil Agarwal described the day as “the darkest day of my life.”
He shared that the family had been hopeful after Agnivesh’s recovery, believing “the worst was behind us,” before fate intervened.
In an emotional post on X, Anil Agarwal wrote, “No words can describe the pain of a parent who must bid goodbye to his child. A son is not meant to leave before his father.” He recalled Agnivesh’s journey, from his birth in Patna on 3 June 1976 to his rise from a middle-class Bihari family to a respected business leader. Agnivesh studied at Mayo College, Ajmer, founded Fujairah Gold, and served as Chairman of Hindustan Zinc, but, Anil Agarwal said, “Beyond all titles and achievements, he remained simple, warm, and deeply human… To me, he was not just my son. He was my friend. My pride. My world.”
Remembering his son’s values, Agarwal said Agnivesh believed passionately in a self-reliant India, often reminding him, “Papa, we lack nothing as a nation. Why should we ever be behind?” He shared that he is determined to honour his son’s vision by continuing their shared mission to help children, women, and young Indians build better lives. Closing his tribute, he wrote, “Beta, you will live on in our hearts, in our work, and in every life you touched.”
Agnivesh Agarwal is survived by his father, Anil Agarwal, and his sister Priya, who serves on the board of Vedanta and chairs Hindustan Zinc Limited.
