Singer Armaan Malik has taken to social media to address an ongoing trend among fans who have been comparing him with his elder brother, music composer and Bigg Boss 19 contestant Amaal Mallik. In a heartfelt message shared on X (formerly Twitter), Armaan asked netizens to stop pitting them against each other, emphasising that while their careers may differ, their bond remains strong and rooted in mutual pride and support.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) account, Amaal wrote, "Please bhai log let’s not do this. We are united by blood, divided by nothing. My brother is my pride, my baby, my everything, hurting or disrespecting him in any way is equal to hurting me. Just spread love & let’s be a bigger, happier fan family from here on. Dil se request hai."

Armaan’s post came after a viral social media thread claimed that Amaal had recently surpassed him in music streaming numbers on a popular platform — a comparison that didn’t sit well with the singer. Responding to the chatter online, Armaan wrote that he “genuinely doesn’t understand why a section of the fandom keeps trying to pit me and Amaal against each other,” and added that their paths are different but they have always taken joy in each other’s successes. He urged fans to stop the comparisons and focus on the music instead, saying there’s “too much exciting music and momentum coming in the new year to waste energy on this.”

Armaan wrote, "Our paths are different, but our joy has always come from seeing each other grow and succeed. Please end the comparisons. We’re bigger than that. There’s too much exciting music and momentum coming in the new year to waste energy on this. Let’s stand united, move forward together, and let the music do all the talking peace & love x," he wrote.

The brothers’ supportive dynamic has been visible on multiple occasions over the past year. During Bigg Boss 19, Armaan openly defended Amaal against critics and responded kindly to negative comments about his brother’s behaviour on the reality show. In October, he publicly backed Amaal when online users claimed the latter was jealous of his success, calling his brother “the proudest, most selfless human I know.”

Amaal himself has addressed family speculation in the past. Earlier in 2025, he deleted a candid Instagram post about personal struggles and asked media outlets not to sensationalise his vulnerabilities, stressing that his relationship with Armaan was unchanged despite past awkward moments.
