Navya Naveli Nanda, entrepreneur and granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan, recently had an exciting moment in the United States when she met Apple CEO Tim Cook. She was joined by singer Armaan Malik, adding a touch of music to the memorable encounter. The meeting, highlighted on social media, quickly caught attention not just for the star power gathered but also for what it signified about India’s young voices being part of global conversations.
Shweta Bachchan, Navya’s mother, couldn’t contain her excitement and dropped a comment on the post saying, “What fun,” perfectly summing up the mood of the occasion.
Unlike many from her family who stepped into films, Navya chose a very different path. The daughter of Shweta Bachchan and businessman Nikhil Nanda, she decided early on that she wanted to build her career in business rather than in Bollywood.
In an earlier interview with Elle India, Navya revealed how growing up in Delhi shaped her. She recalled listening to her father’s conversations about tractors and business, which deeply influenced her interests. “I never wanted to join films; I wanted to be an entrepreneur,” she said.

True to her word, Navya has been pursuing her entrepreneurial ambitions with focus. In September last year, she enrolled in the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Sharing a picture of herself on campus, she wrote, “Dreams do come true!!!!!! The next 2 years… with the best people & faculty! Blended Post Graduate Programme (BPGP) Class of 2026.” Since then, she has been documenting her IIM journey, giving followers glimpses into her student life.
While Navya continues to chart her path in business and education, her brother Agastya Nanda chose cinema. He made his acting debut in 2023 with Zoya Akhtar’s film The Archies, co-starring Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, and others.
