Akshay Kumar sells his Borivali flat

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has sold his apartment in Borivali East, Mumbai, for Rs 4.35 crore. The sale was recorded in March 2025, according to property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards.
The apartment is located in Oberoi Sky City, a residential project by Oberoi Realty, spread over 25 acres. It is a ready-to-move-in complex offering different types of flats, including 3BHK, 3BHK+Studio, and Duplex apartments.

Borivali East is a popular area in Mumbai, known for its greenery and proximity to attractions like Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Kanheri Caves, and amusement parks like Water Kingdom and Essel World. It is also well-connected to nearby areas such as Kandivali East, Dahisar East, and Borivali West.

Akshay Kumar’s apartment in Sky City has a carpet area of 1,073 sq. ft. and comes with two parking spaces. The property transaction included a stamp duty payment of Rs 26.1 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000.

Oberoi Sky City has been performing well in the real estate market, with 208 sale registrations recorded between March 2024 and February 2025. The total transaction value during this period was Rs 818 crore, and the average resale price in the project is Rs 44,577 per square foot.

According to property records, Akshay Kumar originally bought this apartment in November 2017 for Rs 2.37 crore. Selling it for Rs 4.35 crore in 2025 means that its value increased by 84% over time. He also sold another apartment in the same building in January 2025 for Rs 4.25 crore, which he had also purchased in 2017.

Apart from Akshay Kumar, other Bollywood celebrities have invested in Oberoi Sky City. Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan reportedly bought multiple properties in the same project in May 2024, according to IGR property registration records.
