Akshay Kumar, Sonu Sood, Sanjay Dutt and more Bollywood celebs react to Pahalgam terror attack on tourists

Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and others condemned the terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 28 people and injured several others on April 22.

A terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, left the country in shock. The attack killed 26 people and left twelve injured. However, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has recently reacted to the attack on his social media account.

Akshay took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) and condemned the attack. He tweeted, “Horrified to know of the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam. Sheer evil to kill innocent people like this. Prayers for their families,” adding a folded hand emoji.

Sonu Sood also condemned the terror attack and extended condolences to the victim's family. He wrote on X, "Strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Kashmir’s #Pahalgam."

He continued, "Terrorism should not have any place in a civilised world and this dastardly act is unacceptable. My deepest condolences to the families who lost their dear ones and prayers for early recovery of those who are injured. Om Sai ram."

Sanjay Dutt asked the current government to take strict action and tweeted, "They killed our people in cold blood. This can’t be forgiven, these terrorists need to know we are not staying quiet. We need to retaliate, I request our Prime Minister @narendramodi ji, Home Minister @AmitShah ji and Defence Minister @rajnathsingh ji to give them what they deserve."

Meanwhile, Vivek Oberoi sent his deepest condolences and prayers to the victims and their families on X. He wrote, "A shadow of sorrow falls heavy today, as news of the horrific terror attack in Kashmir breaks our hearts."

He added, "Sending deepest condolences and prayers to all the families who have tragically lost loved ones. Now, more than ever, the world must come together in solidarity against such hatred, striving for strength, healing and enduring peace. #PeaceNotTerror."

Veteran actor Anupam Kher also shared his frustration over the latest terrorist attack. He shared a self-shot video about the Pahalgam attack and reminded people of his film The Kashmir Files. He captioned his video in Hindi, which translates to, "Wrong… Wrong… Wrong!!! Pahalgam massacre!! Words are impotent today!!"



Tusshar Kapoor tweeted, "Strongly condemn the dastardly terrorist attack in Pehalgam, India will give a befitting reply to the cowards! Those who fear the rise of India will have to eat humble pie, as always! Prayers for those injured and the families of those killed! #pehalgam."

Raveena Tandon also reacted to the attack and tweeted, “Om Shanti. condolences. Shocked and angry. No words to express the anguish. Prayers and strength to the victims. Time we all let go of petty in-house fighting, UNITE and realise the true enemy.”

Television actress Hina Khan, who was  recently in Kashmir with her mother, reacted to the Pahalgam terror attack. She took to her Instagram Story and wrote, "PAHALGAM [broken heart emoji] WHY WHY WHY."

A group of terrorists dressed in fatigues started an open fire on tourists around 2:30 pm on Tuesday, April 22. The tourists were enjoying the Baisaran Meadows of Pahalgam on horseback. Meanwhile, the Resistance Front (TRF), a Lashkar offshoot, took responsibility for the attack. Several videos of the aftermath have been swirling around social media.
