In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statements against the Naveen Patnaik government in Odisha, the BJD claimed that he comes to offer booster doses to state BJP leaders because they have no hope of coming to power, but that "even booster doses will not help".

Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader VK Pandian, a close assistant to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, organised a flurry of electoral meetings across the Sundergarh constituency today, making repeated digs at the BJP. He asked the BJP to announce its chief ministerial candidate in the state.

All India Mahila Congress president Alka Lamba explained what the Congress party intends to do once it wins the elections. “Congress has promised to carry out five justices and 25 guarantees. One woman from every poor family will be given Rs 1 lakh every year and Rs 8,500 every month to combat rising inflation and unemployment. We will fill 30 lakh vacant government jobs with 15 lakh jobs to be given to women," she said.

Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari said, that women are really excited and they trust PM Modi and (BJP's North East Delhi candidate) Manoj Tiwari since they have seen their work. " I am confident that women will play a crucial in making PM Modi the Prime Minister for the third time," she added.

“More than 15,000 security forces personnel have been deployed in the entire city. QRT and central paramilitary forces will also be deployed on the day of polling (May 13). All the arrangements have been made to conduct a free and fair election. Hyderabad city is so famous all over, but we have a very bad voter turnout every time, I would appeal to the people to come out and cast their vote. It is our right and duty as well,” said CP Hyderabad City, Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy.

On Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, BJP leader Manoj Tiwari said, "...He does not have the right to enter the Chief Minister's office, he does not have the right to go to the Secretariat. He has committed corruption...BJP will win all 7 seats of Delhi with a huge margin..."

With approximately 36 hours till voting begins in Jharkhand, the delivery of polling parties via trains and aircraft has begun in the Maoist-hit Singhbhum region, many of which will see polling for the first time or after several decades.

Saranda, Asia's densest Sal forest, is also located in Singhbhum LS seat, which is one of the country's most severely affected by left-wing extremism.

During the roadshow, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann stated, "The BJP thought the AAP will collapse if you jail Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh. However, they did not know that the AAP is an idea, and you cannot end an idea."

"They (BJP-led central government) arrested me. I used to wonder what was my fault. I am a small man and we have a small party, with governments in two states (Delhi and Punjab). They, however, are very powerful. I built quality schools and Mohalla Clinics for the people of Delhi - was this my fault? I am a Diabetes patient, but they stopped my medicines when I was in Tihar Jail," said Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal during his roadshow in Mehrauli.

During his roadshow in Mehrauli, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said, "On June 4, the INDIA alliance government will be formed. We will give statehood to Delhi and we will make our own LG. God has given me 21 days. I will work 24 hours, travel across the country to end this dictatorship..."

Arvind Kejriwal held his first roadshow for the Lok Sabha election campaign in the South Delhi seat, alongside his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann, a day after being released from Tihar jail. "It is a historic moment. The history is taking a turn. If the INDIA bloc forms government, the direction and fate of the country will change," said Kejriwal.

Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma said, "The Congress alliance is 'Thugbandhan'. They (AAP) came in the name of removing corruption and themselves got drowned in it."

Union Minister Jitendra Singh said today that the BJP aims to win 35 of West Bengal's 42 Lok Sabha seats in the current elections. The BJP leader stated that only those who followed the 2019 general elections and following state assembly elections can see the huge transformation that is taking place among the state's common people.

Rahul Gandhi accepted a letter from retired judges asking him and PM Modi for a public debate.

"We saw it during the 10 years of Congress, how terror attacks were tolerated and proper response was not given, they believed in sending dossiers to Pakistan to the extend that we will recall that the Mumbai attack handlers have not still be punished. While speaking in a public rally in Hyderabad, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, " Who said that Muslims and Hindus are two different nations? Did we say that? No...BJP says that voting for AIMIM is equal to voting for Pakistan. Aren't you (BJP) ashamed? Two nation theory was spoken by you people, your hero said Hindus and Muslims are two different nations, your hero wrote it in his book. We are in India...we were born in this land and will die in this land. Listen BJP, RSS, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, there won't be another exodus..."

On Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's 'Amit Shah will be the PM, if BJP wins' remark, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "The people of this country, be it from East, West, North, South or Northeast, they are standing with Modi. All the leaders of the INDI alliance know that we are going to cross 400 seats and Modi ji will become the PM of this country for the third time, that is why they are spreading this type of misconception. I want to clarify that there is no such provision in BJP's constitution and Modi ji will lead the country till 2029 and Modi ji will also lead the coming elections. There is no good news for INDI alliance...They cannot win elections by spreading such lies..."

BJP national president JP Nadda tweeted on social media platform X, "Kejriwal and the entire INDI alliance have panicked after realizing their failure in the elections. Their aim is to mislead and confuse the country. Modi Ji is getting the immense blessings of the people from East to West, North to South. They have neither any policy nor any program in front of the Prime Minister. Now they are looking for a way out by making an excuse of Modi Ji's age. There is no such provision regarding age anywhere in the constitution of the BJP... Modi ji is our leader and will continue to lead us in the future too..."

As per the Election Commission of India, 65.68% voter turnout was recorded in Phase 3 of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 which was held on May 7 in 93 seats across 11 states and a UT.

Convenor of the BJD manifesto committee Dr Amar Patnaik said, "As per the dream of CM Naveen Patnaik to make Odisha number one state by 2036, a people's manifesto was prepared and released. To fulfil the promises, in the manifesto, there are 24 guarantees of CM Naveen. The guarantees include free electricity to households with 100 units of electricity consumption, empowering women, economic growth, health for all, infrastructure, development in the field of sports, language and culture, climate change, good governance and others. Several provisions are being made for farmers."

"If Arvind Kejriwal thinks that SC's interim bail is clean chit, then his understanding with regard to law is poor," Home Minister Amit Shah commented after Arvind Kejriwal was released from Tihar Jail yesterday on interim bail.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur said, the Congress reduced the reservation of SCs/STs/OBCs and gave it to Muslims but is instead blaming the BJP that will never allow such dilution. He also added that Congress amended the Constitution several times and insulted B R Ambedkar.

The letter read, "The Congress Party is on the side of the Commission and stands for the strength and independence of the Commission. The officials of the Commission should now decide where they stand."

- The Telangana police have registered an FIR against BJP leader Navneet Rana for her alleged comments that a vote for Congress is a vote for Pakistan, under sections related to poll code violations.

- According to the FIR, Rana made the comments at a corner meeting held at Shadnagar on May 8.The Amravati MP was booked under Sections 171-C read with 171-F, 171-G (undue influence and electoral rights) and 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant).

The fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections will see 96 seats across nine states and one Union Territory vote on May 13.

All 25 seats in Andhra Pradesh and 17 constituencies in Telangana will go to polls. Voting will also be held in 13 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 11 in Maharashtra, 8 in West Bengal, 8 in Madhya Pradesh, 5 in Bihar, 4 each in Jharkhand and Odisha as well as one seat in Jammu and Kashmir. - Radical Sikh preacher Amritpal Singh, who is currently lodged in Assam's Dibrugarh jail under the National Security Act, has declared assets worth Rs 1,000, according to his poll affidavit. Chief of the 'Waris Punjab De' outfit, Singh, 31, has thrown his hat in the electoral ring by contesting from the Khadoor Sahib seat in Punjab as an Independent.

- Singh's nomination papers were filed by his uncle in Tarn Taran district on Friday. Singh filled in his nomination papers on Thursday in Dibrugarh jail in Assam. According to his poll affidavit, Singh has Rs 1,000 bank balance in the SBI branch, Rayya, Baba Bakala in Amritsar.

- Other than this, Singh does not have any moveable or immovable assets, according to his affidavit. His wife Kirandip Kaur owns movable assets worth Rs 18.37 lakh. It comprises Rs 20,000 cash in hand, gold jewellery worth Rs 14 lakh and 4,000 GBP (pound) equivalent to Rs 4,17,440, in account at Revolut Ltd, London, UK.

- Singh has been shown as dependent on parents while his spouse is a British citizen. She earlier worked as a language interpreter at National Health Services in the UK, but is now a housewife, as per the affidavit. Singh has declared that 12 criminal cases are pending against him though he has not been convicted in any case. He, along with nine of his associates, has been lodged in the Dibrugarh jail since April 23, 2023.

- Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on May 10 alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is fond of words starting with 'M'. He said that instead of talking about the election manifesto or the work done by the BJP government, PM Modi attacks the Congress party and talks about mangalsutra, mutton and other 'M' words in his speeches.

- "The Prime Minister never talks about the election manifesto. He only abuses the Congress and calls Rahul Gandhi 'shehzada'. Sometimes he talks about Mughals, sometimes mutton, sometimes Muslim League, sometimes Mangalsutra. Modi ji loves the letter 'M' a lot," he said.

- The BJP candidate for by-election to Manavadar assembly constituency in Gujarat on Friday accused Jawahar Chavda, his old rival, and some other party leaders of working against the saffron party during the recently concluded elections. In a letter to state BJP chief C R Paatil, Manavadar candidate Arvind Ladani accused Chavda, a former minister, of campaigning against the party's assembly and Porbandar Lok Sabha candidates.

- Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya was the BJP candidate from the Porbandar Lok Sabha seat. Polling in Gujarat took place on May 7.Chavda could not be contacted for his comment despite repeated attempts.

- The tempo of the election campaign is with the opposition after polling in more than half of the total Lok Sabha seats, senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said on Friday. "Can't help adding that while a lot of bull is emerging from the ruling party, the 'Tempo' in this election campaign is with the Opposition," Tharoor said on a day the BJP dug out an old video of Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar suggesting that India should be fearful of nuclear-armed Pakistan.

- Tharoor's "tempo" comment came after Modi on Wednesday accused the Congress of having a "deal" with "Ambani and Adani", and asked if the party had received "tempo loads of black money" from the two industrialists for its leader Rahul Gandhi to stop "abusing" them. In the first three phases of the Lok Sabha elections, voters in 284 of the 543 parliamentary seats exercised their franchise.

The Trinamool Congress in the Baharampur (Behrampur earlier) constituency in West Bengal has a special contestant - the five-time MP and current Congress candidate, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, whose winning streak extends from 1999. - In the Dahod Lok Sabha seat, the Election Commission has taken a crucial judgement about booth capture.

- Re-election instructions have been given in the aftermath of an incident involving booth capture at the Parthampur polling station in Santrampur.

- Rerun voting is set on May 11 at Polling Station 220 in Parthampura village, according to the Election Commission's timetable. From 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., there will be re-voting.

- An alleged video of BJP leader Vijay Bhabhor's son trying to break into a polling place and cast a fake ballot surfaced on social media on Wednesday.

- The Federation of Retailer Association of India gathered at Model Town in the national capital to show support to BJP's candidate from the Chandni Chowk seat, Praveen Khandelwal, for the Lok Sabha polls. The seat is slated for a direct fight between Khandelwal and JP Agarwal of the Congress, with polling in all seven constituencies scheduled for May 25.

- FRAI is a body representing approximately 80 lakh micro, small, and medium retailers across the nation. Addressing the gathering at Agrawal Sadan here, Khandelwal expressed gratitude for the support from from the retailers' association, and affirmed his commitment to work for the interests of the retailers' community if elected.

- Arvind Kejriwal is expected to join the Aam Aadmi Party and INDIA bloc's campaign on Saturday, giving it a boost ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi and other states.
- The Delhi chief minister is getting on the campaign trail right away after receiving temporary release from the Supreme Court specifically for the purpose of the upcoming elections. Alongside Bhagwant Mann, his counterpart from Punjab, he will take part in a roadshow on Saturday in south Delhi.
